Owen Brannigan

Owen Brannigan (bass) was born at Annitsford in Northumberland in 1908.
He was originally a carpenter by trade, but studied singing at the Guildhall School of Music in London.

He was a regular at Glyndebourne and Covent Garden, and recorded many Gilbert & Sullivan songs as well as favourites from his native North East.

He died in 1973.
