Collection: Luke Casey

Luke Casey is an award-winning broadcaster who has worked in television for over 30 years. In the 1960s, he worked as a reporter for BBC Look North in Newcastle covering stories on Teesside and North Yorkshire.

Luke was the first journalist to persuade James Herriot (AKA Thirsk vet, Alf Wight) to appear on television, correctly predicting that his books would become compulsive reading. Herriot's stories eventually became the basis for the television programme All Creatures Great And Small.

Luke is the writer and presenter of The Dales Diary. A selection of volumes from this successful series are now on sale through MWM.
