The High Level Ranters


  The High Level Ranters The High Level Ranters have been playing traditional music for over 30 years. Their name comes from the location of a folk club at the North end of the High Level Bridge across the Tyne.

The original Ranters were Alistair Anderson, Tommy Gilfellon, Johnny Handle, and Colin Ross. At various times, Forster Charlton, John Doonan, Pete Wood and Louis Killen have been members.

The current line up is Jim Hall, Johnny Handle and Colin Ross.
