Anne-Marie Owens (mezzo soprano) was born in South Shields and first studied at the Newcastle School of Music. Recent
engagements include La Frugola in Il Trittico at English National Opera, Aszucena in Il Trovatore for Scottish Opera,
Mistress Quickly in Falstaff in Santiago, the Witch in Hansel & Gretel at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and High Priestess in
La Vestale at English National Opera.

Bobby Pattinson is one of the most successful North East comedians.
He's worked in most English speaking countries and topped the bill in virtually every theatre in the UK.
In 1978, Bobby opened the hugely popular Talk Of The Tyne club in Gateshead. He gave up stand-up performances in 1995, but made a sell-out 50th Anniversary Tour in 2000. Ed Pickford was born in 1943 in County Durham. He was a teacher for 36 years and retired in 2003. His song Ee Aye Ah Cud Hew
has been recorded by Sir Thomas Allen and is included in the Anthology.
Ed has written several songs that have been recorded by international artists, including Pound A Week Rise, The Workers' Song, Farewell Johnny Miner and One Miner's Life. In 1981, Bristol entertainer Fred Wedlock took one of Ed's lighter songs The Oldest Swinger In Town into the UK charts. |

Alan Price was born in Fatfield, County Durham. He was organist in the original line up of the Animals - it was his Vox
Continental arpeggios and solo that gave The House Of The Rising Sun much of its unique sound. After leaving the band, Alan
had solo hits including Simon Smith And His Amazing Dancing Bear, The House That Jack Built, The Jarrow Song, and Rosetta
(with Georgie Fame).

Valerie Reid (mezzo soprano) was born in Fife and studied singing at the RSAMD in Glasgow. She graduated with a BA mus perf and a
DRSAMD in 1986 and immediately joined Glyndebourne. She’s sung with English National Opera and Scottish Opera and given performances at
concerts all over the world including St Petersburg, Monte Carlo, Geneva, Saltzburg, Turin, Canada and Hong Kong.

Claire Rutter (soprano) was born in South Shields, County Durham. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at
the National Opera Studio. She’s sung with Scottish Opera, Opéra de Montpellier, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, and
at performances all over the world including Hong Kong, Beijing and the Ludwigshafen Festival in Germany. Her rôles have included
Violetta in La Traviata, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan Tutte, Gilda in Rigoletto, the Countess in Le Nozze Di
Figaro, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Mimi in La Bohème.
